Hello lovelies! I’m getting this post up late today because I had so many thing on the agenda this morning. When I started my blog, I would always write and schedule my posts the night before. Even though that was effective and I didn’t have to worry about getting a post up in the morning, I felt like my writing reflected what I was feeling the night before and not the day I posted it. I either felt differently the next day, or when I read it back it seemed kind of forced. I didn’t like my writing style then and I decided to write my blog posts on the day of. So after working out, running errands around town and answering a bunch of emails, this post is comin in hot lol.
I shot this dress actually a few weeks ago and honestly, while I was wearing it, I wasn’t exactly feelin it. It happens sometimes. It could be the location or just the fact that it was the last outfit of the shoot day and I am exhausted but I wasn’t sure it was photographing right. We decided to shoot it anyways and I am so glad we did. I always say to my blogger friends that there could be an outfit that you feel amazing in and you look back at the photos and it’s a serious “No Go” lol or there is an outfit that you’re not sure looks quite right and then you look at the photo’s and go “wow”. When I bought this dress, I loved the lace detail and the nude undertones. I felt like it was a great cocktail dress or the perfect look for a small wedding ceremony. I am so glad it photographed better than it felt. It applies to real life as well… sometimes I’ll be out and about and think that I look like complete crap and I’ll get the most genuine compliments, while other times I’ll be dressed up for the Met Ball and no one even seems to notice lol. Life.
