So I totally was sweating to death while trying to shoot this outfit. I want to say in Houston the high was 86 degrees that day so I hope you all appreciate the commitment to bringing you some seasonal outfits. I will be hanging on to this red tie waisted coat waiting for the holidays for I don’t know if I will be able to find a more festive coat than this one. For now, I love the deep red color and the tie waist. I will look superb next to the changing fall leaves, if you live anywhere north of Houston of course.
I found this tweed hat on sale for $28 and it has been a great companion to my wardrobe ever since. It’s by Karl Lagerfeld and I got it at Off Saks maybe a few weeks ago. It was a really good buy and has actually sold out since then but I linked a similar one but unfortunately not as great as a deal. From my last post, you know that I have a thing for tweed during the fall so I love to incorporate it anyway I can and in small as well as large doses.
Also in my last blog post you know that I love to spend my money mostly on accessories and staple items for my wardrobe. I had been wanting this Chanel CC brooch for a long time. They only come out every couple of years and the last few years there haven’t been any new designs. You can buy them used on resell websites but I have had a lot of bad luck with this in the past and will only buy from confirmed retailers. Fortunately, Chanel came out with this diamond one this year and I grabbed it immediately. Yes it is costume jewelry but it is a classic piece that will hold it’s value and looks good on everything. I highly recommend scooping one up if this is your thing. Neiman Marcus I know already has a wait list but I walked into a freestanding Chanel boutique here in Houston and was able to get one immediately. If the price point is not your jam, I found this dupe one for only $22.
I am going to a baseball game tonight for my girlfriend is in town. Her husband plays for the opposing team. Trying to stay neutral because I know a lot of you are Houston fans so today’s tweed hat will be a chic neutral choice. I’m just happy that I will get to spend more time with my girl while she’s here!
Thanks for stopping by!
