This year one of my goals was to cherish my friendships more. In the span of my life I have had friends that are there for seasons and friends that you will never let go. There are a few ladies that I cherish and love so much and I wanted to make sure they know it. With our busy schedules, husbands, and kids, it is so hard to see and catch up with your girlfriends everyday. I want them to know that I think of them whether we speak everyday or not, which prompted me to start a new idea called “The Friendly Box”.
Each month I will be sending my closest friends something in the mail that reminds them that I am thinking of them. Mostly homemade gifts, I am putting items that are made with love in these boxes for my very best girlfriends. This month I am sending my girls a little Valentine’s Day love and there are two variations of the box to keep it interesting.
I found this awesome blog a year ago called Hello Glow and have been obsessed with it ever since. Mostly a natural products and DIY blog, I have come to love every post, recipe, and DIY product the blog has to offer. I actually got the idea of sending a little Valentine’s Day love from this post. So the first variation of this box will be a lavender bath salt jar with lavender essential oils and lavender buds. It smells divine and I can’t wait to use an extra one that I made for myself. The second variation is a jar of activated charcoal gummies, that help with gut help and aiding in the recovery of colds and flu.
Last but not least, I found these gorgeous Papyrus greeting cards to put a personalized note in each box for my girlfriends and wrapped them all together with these fun boxes I picked up from Michaels. I really can’t wait for my girlfriends to get them. I hope this inspires you to cherish your own Galentine’s out there and to let them know you do too.
