I hope everyone enjoyed the Super Bowl last night. Today is an exciting day for My Smile Direct Club commercial launches today…”wait whattttt?!” I am so excited to see Andrew and I on TV talking about how important straightening our smiles were for our wedding. You get to see some pretty amazing clips of our wedding too! The first run airs at 12:36pm EST on TLC and has about 16 more slots being aired today on networks like WE and TLC. It is even airing during “Say Yes to the Dress” today. I am totally geeking out right now. I will probably post the video on my blog on Wednesday with more information. If you have time today, I hope you tune in!
IN other news, with the good comes the bad… Last night, I was having a moment with my dear friend Instagram and was getting super discouraged. When dealing with Instagram, I feel like a kid in high school who is just waiting for my crush to notice me. I put on my best outfits and make sure my hair, makeup and nails look great and I present myself ready to take his breath away. Except, he doesn’t see me again and I feel like a lot of my work and effort has gone unseen. Anyone else see where I am going with this?
The new algorithm for Instagram has made it damn near impossible to share some of my best work with the majority of my viewers. I am so grateful and blessed to have so many of you frequent my blog but I have to say being on Instagram is super discouraging. Also being that I am seeing so many of my peers excelling on social media channels (do I dare say if some of them are cheating? hmmm…) that it does put you in a place of constant comparison.
Although gaining more likes, comments and followers can be acquired now with just a click of mouse and a valid credit card, I refuse to use tricks and unethical hacks and concentrate instead on putting out nothing other than good content with a do not quit attitude. Even when one of my photo’s bomb, which happens more than not recently, I hope my style and blog are in fact inspiring just one of you. That thought makes it all worth it and push on even though sometimes I feel like social media can be really damaging to my self esteem. I hope that if you are enjoying my content that you engage more with my social media channels for it does help ensure that I know you all are indeed liking my content and want to see more. This helps my presence on these channels grow and I hope and pray that you all will start engaging with my content more. I will always be an honest influencer and never buy or try to increase likes on my page for the sake of what my peers have and hope in the end it will work out as long as I keep working towards a goal.
To put a little pizazz into your Monday, I thought this outfit was totally fitting. Who doesn’t just love sparkling street style like this? Shop the entire look below.
