DIY Distressed Tee…

DIY Distressed Tee

Hello loves! Happy Friday! I had this look in mind and went to order a distressed tee online. I was looking at different retailers and I could understand why a ripped and beat up shirt costs so much money. For something so simple, I just didn’t get it. As I was looking at more and more of them, I kinda thought… “I feel like I can do this myself ” lol and I decided then that I was going to give it a go.

I went to my local Forever21 and picked up a few graphic tee’s that I thought would be the right fit. I wanted something a little baggier than my normal fitted tee and I knew I also wanted some pink elements as well. I took them home and stared at them a bit, scissors in hand, and realized maybe this perfect imperfection thing is going to be harder than I thought. So I went on YouTube and found this video. It helped me so much and made distressing my shirts so easy.

I know on my blog I put a range of price point throughout different posts but I believe you should save your money for your staple designer goods. You shouldn’t be spending $50-100 on a ripped shirt that you can do yourself. I thought it was a lot of fun so I decided to share the outcome with you all. Maybe I’ll start doing some more fashion DIY at home and bringing it to the blog.
